Summer has arrived and London’s cultural scene eagerly prepares to welcome residents and visitors to a diverse array of events. From vibrant street festivals to serene nature walks and world-class theatrical performances our parks and neighbourhoods promise something for everyone to enjoy outdoors.

Summer Sundays at Portobello and Golborne Market

Location: Portobello and Golborne Market

Details: These markets come alive with Summer Sundays featuring live music, street food, and an eclectic mix of stalls offering vintage finds, crafts, and artisanal products. It’s a quintessential London market experience set in the heart of Notting Hill.

Open Air Theatre

Dates: Until September 2024

Location: Regent’s Park Open Air Theatre
Details: Catch an outdoor production at Regent’s Park Open Air Theatre, one of London’s largest and most atmospheric theatre venues set in the lovely leafy park. Family-friendly shows include The Secret Garden and Fiddler on the Roof.

If you enjoy opera, don’t miss the chance to see Opera Holland Park’s productions set in one of London’s most charming outdoor venues in Kensington. The 2023 season runs until the 12th August.

Notting Hill Carnival

Date: Thursday 4 July, 15 August, and 19 September, 6.30pm to 7.30pm

Queen’s Park Book Festival

Date: 31 August & 1 September
Location: Queen’s Park
Details: Queen’s Park Book Festival is a vibrant and exciting celebration of literary arts in the heart of London. An area with deep literary history, Queen’s Park has been a home to authors, artists, poets and actors for generations. Every year hundreds of authors are welcomed by thousands of audience members for a weekend of events in the beautiful park.
