By Mountgrange Heritage July 2024

Notting Hill and Kensington is famous for its vibrant markets, colourful houses, and a thriving literary scene. The area boasts some of the best independent bookshops in London.

Notting Hill Bookshop

Located at 13 Blenheim Crescent, this charming bookshop is known worldwide, thanks to the film ‘Notting Hill’ featuring Hugh Grant and Julia Roberts. The shop specialises in travel books but offers a wide range of genres. Established in 1979, it’s a cozy spot for both locals and tourists. Beyond its cinematic fame, it’s a delightful place to explore signed special editions, cookery, fiction, and an impressive travel section (named the Travel Book Co.). On a rainy London day, the children’s section with its glass roof provides an especially charming atmosphere.
